How to Use Glisspa

Getting Started Smoothly
Sign Up or Log In
To get the most out of Glisspa—like saving your learning sets, creating private content, and interacting with the community—sign up or log in. You can use Google or your Email/Password.
Exploring the App
Use the sidebar on the left to easily navigate through Glisspa's main sections: Home, Make New Learning Sets, your personal Library (Own and Favorite Sets), Community Activity, and Help resources.
Translating & Creating Your Learning Sets
1. Input Your Text
Navigate to Make New Learning Sets. Type or paste the text you wish to translate into the main input area.
2. Select Languages
Choose your source and target languages from the dropdowns. Glisspa will attempt to auto-detect the source language for longer texts, but you can always select it manually!
3. Translate & Analyze
Click 'Translate & Analyze'. Glisspa's AI will provide:
- A translation of your text.
- A suggested title for your new learning set.
- A 'List of Words' extracted from your text with translations and synonyms.
4. Refine & Customize
You can:
- Use the 'Refine Translation' button to enhance the AI's translation.
- Edit the suggested 'Set Title' to fit your needs.
- Modify the 'List of Words': edit original/translated terms, or delete irrelevant words.
5. Set Visibility
Decide if your set should be 'Public' (visible to all users and discoverable in the Activity Feed) or 'Private' (only visible to you in your 'Own Learning Sets').
6. Save Your Set
Once satisfied, click 'Save as Set'. If logged in, your set is stored in your account and, if public, shared with the Glisspa community. You'll be redirected to the Activity Feed.
Power Up Your Learning with Flashcards
Preview Flashcards
While creating or editing a set, click 'Create Flashcards' (or the Flashcards icon) to instantly preview an interactive MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) quiz based on your 'List of Words'.
Study Saved Sets
For any saved set, go to its detail page and click the 'Flashcards' button. This launches the MCQ quiz to help you master the vocabulary from that set.
Discover & Manage Learning Sets
Activity Feed
Visit the Activity Feed to:
- 'All' tab: See recent public sets from all Glisspa users.
- 'Following' tab: View public sets from creators you follow.
Your Personal Library
- 'Own Learning Sets': Access, manage, edit, and delete all sets you've created (both public and private).
- 'Favorite Learning Sets': Quickly find and study sets you've starred.
Join the Community
User Profiles
Click on a creator's name (on a set card or comment) to visit their profile page. See their public learning sets and get a glimpse of their contributions.
Follow Users (and be followed!)
Follow creators whose content you find helpful. Their new public sets will appear in your 'Following' tab in the Activity Feed. Others can follow you too!
Comment on Sets
Engage with creators and other learners by adding comments to set detail pages. Ask questions, share insights, or offer encouragement.
